Room was cold, (no heating until 8.00pm)extremely dirty - several months dirt and dust accumulated on back of doors, beneath wash hand basin, WC pedestal badly cracked and shower contained hair amongst the ingrained dirt around edges, not to mention the cracks on floor of shower. Ceiling in bathroom badly cracked and paint flaking. Bin had not even been emptied prior to our arival and stayed so until our second day. Tea making facilities were 2 tea bags and an open dish with a little coffee. Dining room was full of clutter and not one set of matching cuttlery to be seen. We do not like eating cereal with soup spoons!! Food was not very well cooked ( to say the least) and we did not appreciate the hair served with the butter nor did we like the dirty cups! Service by Adrian in his bare feet was not pleasant first thing in the morning. Neither did we enjoy his girlfriend's daughter appearing in the dining room with only a pyjama top on - no nappy or underpants. The conservatory was full of washing, dirty shoes and a clutter of toys so even if we did want to sit there it was not possible - also the door appeared to be permanently open (end Sept). All in all without doubt the worst guest house we have ever stayed in and we wonder how this establishment ever got a 3 star rating. We do have photgraphic evidence to back up our points if need be.
